Strumming for Vets
Most of you are aware of the sacrifices our Veterans have made for us. What many are not aware of the sacrifices many vets face when they come home. Repeated surgeries and years of rehab, some real tuff stuff. Strumming for Vets is an organization that has come up with a way to restore feeling of joy and self-worth that can be lost after extreme trauma. With donated guitars, and teachers donating their time, these vets are given a new type of therapy that works!
I had about 50 music books stolen from the day room at the hospital so I really need books. And we still need guitars and stuff. I picked up 4 more students Wednesday so I can really use your help.
We also need Volunteer guitar instructors that are willing to donate their time to instruct Veteran's at the Palo Alto VA and maybe the San Jose Vet Center.
