On February 12 at 3:00pm, the San Jose Wind Symphony, with tuba virtuoso Marty Erickson, will present "Tiptoe Through the Tubas", music celebrating the most sublime -- and subsonic -- of the brass instruments, including Wilhelm's Concertino for Tuba, Rossini's Largo al Factotum and the Canadian Brass's Tuba Tiger Rag. The concert will be held at McAfee Center, 20300 Herriman Ave. in Saratoga. Tickets are $5 for students, $15 for seniors and $20 for regular admission. For more information, please visit www.sjws.org or call 408-927-SJWS. Mr. Erickson will hold a tuba performance master class on Saturday, February 11, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, at Campbell United Methodist Church, 1675 Winchester Blvd. in Campbell. Tickets are $10 for audience members and $40 for participants.
